The second painting in the "Zubir Said" series captures his love for nature. It is little-known to many that Zubir Said had a genuine, warm love for Singapore and its greenery as well as animals. He once had a pet bird, and when it died, he was so overwhelmed with sentimentality that he could not bring himself to bury it. This painting hopes to reveal a new and emotional side of Zubir Said to the viewers, letting us understand him a bit more.
