Cathryn McEwen is a professional artist originally from Canada and now living and working from her Australian studio on the East Coast of NSW. Her intricately painted artwork celebrates the mesmerising visual qualities of water, evoking the shallows of coastal shorelines by breaking down elements of the landscape to focus on colour, shape and light. Cathryn enjoys painting the organic nature of the coastal water reflections and light play. Her watchful attention to the details of colour, light and movement she sees when studying the shallow waters edge is represented in a realistic style. The result is contemporary and unique.

Cathryn has donated one of her Framed limited edition prints from her collection "Immersed", which contains 49 of her paintings done over a decade between 2010 - 2020. This beautiful print has been framed in oak and is ready to hang in its new home!
