About the artist:

Lani Knezevic is an Australian born, Croatian raised artist, exploring new ways of communicating. Growing up bilingual, she developed an interest in language “errors”, broken-English, cultural idioms and superstitions. Drawn towards the fine line between order and chaos, she finds inspiration in street graffiti and light refractions on marble tiled church floors. Her visual language is precise and controlled, using simple phrases, singular words or letters, and different writing systems. Her techniques include wet on wet acrylic painting, using tape to section off letters and patterns, and drawing with pencil to create definition.
