About the artist:

Lily Walker figurative painter whose work explores ideas of care, intimacy, and value through the subject matter of the seemingly ordinary. Walker explores how our perceptions of everyday and domestic objects and environments can shift when approached from alternative angles and through the practices of care and paying close attention. They are interested in how both strangeness and value emerge through the processes of looking, modes of representation and the act of painting, and how the often overlooked becomes alien. Walker completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (painting) at the Victorian College of the Arts.
