Acrylic on canvas in oak frame 53cmx53cm
This work was inspired by my travel throughout Australia. My partner and I love to travel and camp and have spent many warm summer days swimming in remote waterholes. In this work I used all Australian pigments to help capture the warmth of a hot Australia summer day down by the billabong. Every small town and regional area has their secret swimming hole, a local secret, it is a quintessential Australian experience. This work attempts to capture that experience.
