About this item
This 3' x 3' section of the Irondequoit High School gymnasium floor is approximately 40 years old. Numerous memorable sporting events occurred on this section of flooring, providing a foundation for many successful seasons. It was removed and purposefully preserved in the summer of 2020 when a new floor was installed.
The Eagle logo is the first version of the district's new mascot/nickname that was unveiled in 2002. This unique item is being auctioned by the West Irondequoit Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that raises money via fundraisers, donations and more to provide funding to enhance the educational programs of the West Irondequoit Central School District.
The auction closes at 2 PM on Dec. 14th. If the winning bidder is able, he/she will be presented with the Eagle at halftime of the boys varsity basketball home opener on Wednesday, Dec. 15th.
