Summer Fun - 4th of July Special
Summer Fun – 4th of July Special
The exhibition Once Upon a Time – Prague Spring 2025 at Salon – Koncept Letna was an interesting, live experiment. But spring is now behind us. On the continent, it’s a mass exodus from the cities. Goddard’s film Weekend showed the mayhem of the holiday season all too well in a way only a French filmmaker could. In the USA, the 4th of July is a wonderful celebration, with its own special touch of explosive madness. The more things change the more they stay the same? Times are changing, and in often disturbing, yet interesting ways. I presume we all know this. We the people…
Meanwhile… there’s a certain timelessness to art. As much as it is always a product of its own time and place.
In light of this, and as an attempt to keep a roof over my head (my flat is my studio) to be able to keep making art I am offering the following works for sale. They are, in many ways, my children, and I hate to see them go. But life must go on, creating space for new life. Each piece has many stories, mine and what each and every viewer brings to it.
I have intentionally set the initial prices ridiculously low and added a buy now feature reflecting what I need to pacify the landlord and keep the bill collectors at bay. But in light of my current circumstances, anything helps. I have many more pictures to paint.
All works are original oil on canvas. I have not had the means to make lithographs, as much as I would like to, as it would dramatically lower the price per piece and expand their reach. But hey, in the age of mass production, AI and economies of scale, I think the true one of a kind nature of each work adds to its value as an object d’art.
Thank you for your support!
