Deborah Malor recently returned to art/making after multiple careers that coincidentally touched on maps, archives and photographs, as well as history (of art and a lot more). Her work often carries comment and observations of disturbed ecologies and invasive practices of colonialism. She has participated in group exhibitions; a two-person show (with Vicki Tolman) at Sawtooth ARI (2018); and solo shows at s.p.a.c.e. (Scotch Oakburn, 2020) and Sawtooth ARI (2021). In 2022 she has produced, with Vicki Tolman and Mhairi Revie, a large book form for the site-reflective project, Aspects/ Waterton Hall (Rowella), curated by Patrick Sutczak; has participated in Waiting in the Light: Peace after Grief (Launceston Library, curated by Amy Bartlett); and is currently working towards on an object-video installation with Sonja Brough and Mairi Ward for the Project Gallery, RANT, Devonport, in December.
