Perth Thunder Indigenous Jersey Auction
On Saturday 12th August, at our last home games before we head to finals, the Perth Thunder will take on the Sydney Bears in a special Indigenous round match!
With profits donated to Shooting Stars, our specially-designed, game-worn jerseys will be auctioned to the highest bidders and presented to the winners in an on-ice ceremony. Shooting Stars is an initiative that has a significant impact on empowering Indigenous girls and women through education and leadership programs.
These jerseys were designed by Gamilaraay artist and Perth Thunder photographer, Cassandra Edwards. Her jersey features artwork of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) at the base of the jersey with thunder clouds and rain running up the sleeves and down the chest. Behind the logo there are ten meeting places with journey lines connecting them. This symbolises the ten AIHL teams and the journey the Perth Thunder have taken across the country this year.
This auction will close at 5pm on Sunday 13th August. The jersey presentation ceremony will be at the conclusion of our game on Sunday the 13th.
Auction terms and conditions
Winners must pay for their jerseys as soon as possible after the auction closes to enable the jerseys to be presented at the game if the winners are in attendance. International postage may be charged separately in addition to the auction price. If this applies, you will be contacted directly after the auction closes.
