Oval Office Swedish Ivy
About this item
There's a life form in the Oval Office that's outlasted staffers, presidents and political eras. It's Swedish ivy, a gift to John F. Kennedy in 1961 whose progeny still sits on a mantle beneath a portrait of George Washington. Many clippings have been propagated from the Oval Office ivy and have been passed on to those lucky enough to receive one. Tend to your very own piece of presidential history! Read more about the Oval Office ivy in this 1984 Times article about the plant and follow the plant on Instagram @ovalofficeivy.
