A luminous celebration of regional Australia in the height of summer.
Painted from the summit of Tully’s Hill near Leeton in the Riverina, ‘On top of Tully’s’ looks outward across expansive wheat fields glowing beneath vast, sweeping skies. Inspired by collage studies created on site, Ann Rayment captures not just the view, but the warmth, movement and atmosphere of the landscape itself.
Bands of radiant pinks, golds and sunlit ochres stretch across the horizon, while layered textures and expressive mark-making evoke the vitality of native flora and the rugged rocks that crown the hilltop. The composition pulses with optimism and abundance.
“As a regional artist, I feel strongly that funds raised for cancer research must benefit people living in regional and rural communities, not just those in major cities. Access to the best possible care shouldn’t depend on your postcode, I’m proud to contribute in a small way to that mission.”
