GC’s Got Talent 2020
Online Auction Edition
Since 2016, we’ve been celebrating the talents of our fellow genetic counselors while raising funds for our nonprofit organization. Traditionally, this live event has been held in conjunction with the annual NSGC gathering.
This year, we are hosting an entirely online auction, showcasing GC’s talents in the form of donated arts and goods! Though we'll miss hosting a live event and joining you at the NSGC conference, we’re so grateful to still connect with genetic counselors who have an array of skills and talents. The online auction will run November 12 - 20, 2020. We’re accepting donation items now!
Your donation of a handcrafted item will directly support GSF’s charity care program, allowing patients to seek the genetic counseling care they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare, without having to worry about financial burden. Please consider donating an item to this important cause! With your help, we aim to raise $5,000 to help families in 2021 who need genetic counseling care!
You can donate hand-crafted jewelry, wearable goods, totes, art, textiles, or any other item you can dream up! For your item(s) to be included, please commit by Nov 1, 2020.
About Genetic Support Foundation
Genetic Support Foundation (GSF), a charitable nonprofit 501c3, is the result of a vision that our president and founder, Jon Wolff, MD, dreamed of throughout his lengthy career in medical genetics. Dr. Wolff’s passion for genetics and advances in the field, along with a deep appreciation for genetic counselors is what led to the formation of the only nonprofit devoted to genetics–Genetic Support Foundation. GSF has been serving clinics and patients in need of genetic counseling services since 2014.
Our mission is to improve the quality of healthcare by providing up-to-date, objective genetic information to patients, providers, and healthcare organizations, supporting those in need of genetic services, and facilitating the adoption of best genetic practices.
We have a passion for genetics, and we believe there is a need for objective information about genetic testing and how it can impact your health. Genetic testing technology is changing rapidly and there are a growing number of genetic testing options available. We’re here to help you sort through the wealth of information in this new age of genetics. Our goal is to provide objective expertise and latest developments.
