"My work is designed to be simple, lightweight, comfortable, and appealing to the eye with my various selection of colorful glazes. I enjoy making everyday dishes, such as mugs, cups, bowls, oil bottles, and spoon rests. My pottery is primarily wheel-thrown, created with white or speckled stoneware clay, and is all food, dishwasher, & microwave safe."

This classic ceramic mug by Ryan Durbin uses a rich, chocolaty-brown glaze accented with embedded glass which melted to create blue-tinged golden surface decoration. Comfortable in the hand, this mug is excellent for every-day coffee or to give as a gift.

Ryan Durbin is owner and maker for RD Ceramics in Cincinnati, OH. He began creating functional pottery as a high school student in Louisville, KY. He has a BA in ceramics from Northern Kentucky University. In addition to selling work through his studio and at festivals, Durbin co-hosts the Wheel Talk podcast with Becca Otis. ryandurbinceramics.com
