John Polly specializes in revealing inner beauty in raw wood. He operates his studio in Jacksboro, Tennessee. He revives old wood, transforming them by hand into new creations, and uses traditional hand-tools to shape and finish his pieces. Most of Polly’s works are created from fallen, damaged or discarded trees. He collects, saws into lumber, dries and processes the wood for current and future works including tables, serving utensils, cabinetry, and other fine wood pieces.
