Close to My Heart Project
Supporting asylum seekers & the women of Afghanistan
What started out as a quirky tea towel dress and a homage to domestic kitsch has taken on a new life in the Close to My Heart Project, stitched together by Brisbane textile artist Sue-Ching Lascelles.
This auction includes five one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted dresses – made from designer tea towels and textiles – to raise money for asylum seekers and the women of Afghanistan. Collaborating artists are Claire Ritchie, Anna Spiro, Aqua door Designs and Dancing with Juniper
The auction will take place online from 14-21 November and all proceeds raised will support the Romero Centre and Women for Women International.
Items in this auction are subject to an automatic extension feature. If a bid is received within
