1960s – The Kindness Kombi (Inner South)
About this item
Bakers: Office for Mental Health and Wellbeing and friends We wanted to make an inclusive cake that everyone could enjoy and reflected some of the memories of the 60s (that a couple of us could relate to!). The 1960s are well known for being the era of ‘flower power’ … a movement that believed the world would be a better place if there was more caring, compassion and kindness in our daily lives. It was not unusual to find a group of peaceful folks with their Kombi van at the beach enjoying life with a peace symbol around their neck, a flower in their hair and a smile on their face. We still believe that these are important ideas to keep in our hearts and minds at all stages of life. Our cake is orange chocolate fudge cake (Gluten free/Vegan/Nut and Dairy free). INNER SOUTH
