First Dog on the Moon (who used to be known as Andrew Marlton) has been a full-time cartoonist since 2007, first at Crikey and from 2014 at The Guardian Australia. He has also written and illustrated books and performed live on stage. Mr Onthemoon is also a 2012 Walkley Award winner for ‘best political cartoon’. The six panel cartoon depicted several rationalisations for ignoring the plight of asylum seekers attempting to come to Australia by boat.
