Bicycles Of Hope
Bicycles Of Hope is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project by Domino's Pizza Singapore in collaboration with Mountbatten Vocational School (MVS).
In the early 2010s, Domino's Pizza Singapore acquired numerous mountain bikes as one of the modes to deliver pizzas in the neighbourhood. These bicycles were then later decommissioned in 2020 and replaced with e‑bicycles for more efficient deliveries.
Instead of discarding the unused mountain bicycles, Domino’s Pizza Singapore donated some of the bicycles to various non profit organisations, among them was Mountbatten Vocational School. 5 of the bicycles were designed by students from Mountbatten Vocational School after staff members of Domino's Pizza refurbished the bicycles.
The objective of the project is to raise funds for resources & equipment for the MVS students' vocational training through the creative expression from the 5 students.
Auction terms and conditions
By participating in the bidding, you have read and understand, and shall also accept the following Terms & Conditions:
- The Beneficiary for the fund raiser is Mountbatten Vocational School (MVS) (IPC no.: S62SS0061C, located at 225 Mountbatten Rd, Singapore 397997).
- The auction is only open to bidders residing in Singapore with a contactable email address.
- Bidding for the bicycles is open from 0000hrs of 8 Dec 2021 to 2359hrs of 20 Dec 2021.
- The successful bidder will be notified by 1500hrs of 22 Dec 2021 via email.
- Cash payment must be made by 1600hr of 29 Dec 2021 directly to MVS, otherwise, it is taken that the bidder forgoes the bid and the bicycle will be assigned to next highest bidder.
- Receipt will be issued by MVS to the successful bidder upon collection of the bicycle.
- Any claims for tax deduction will have to be submitted by successful bidder.
- Successful bidder is to inspect the bicycle in person before making payment at MVS. No refund or dispute will be entertained after payment & collection of the bicycle.
- The starting price for the bicycle(s) are set based on the retail value of bicycle in the retail market.
- Bidding price does not include delivery or transportation of the bicycle to the successful bidder.
- Handover arrangements of the bicycle(s) will be made between MVS & the successful bidder.
- Domino’s Pizza Singapore Pte Ltd supports Mountbatten Vocational School (MVS) ONLY in refurbishing of 5 Mountain Bicycles to condition that is fit for use, the set-up microsite & auction function, publicity of the auction for fund raiser and the extraction of contact & bidding information for MVS’s liaison with the successful bidder.
- Domino’s Pizza Singapore Pte Ltd does not undertake any responsibilities or have any monetary involvement in the proceeds and/or costs incurred by the successful bidder for the bidding of the bicycle(s) & MVS.
For the avoidance of doubt, Domino’s Pizza Singapore Pte Ltd is only providing the bicycle for the above bidding on conditions stated above.
