Billy Buttons & Morning Coffee: "There is something so joyous about billy buttons," says artist Melanie Vugich. "I included my favourite Italian coffee pot here - it’s a sweet reminder of my Italian days."
Gum Blossom & Afternoon Tea: "Eucalyptus is my favourite aroma, so I'm constantly painting gum leaves," she continues. "Art books, handmade ceramics and and teapots are also constants in my work."

Sydney-based Vugich grew up in the outback NSW town of Broken Hill, then spent time in Adelaide, Sydney and London before venturing to Italy. She fell in love with Florence and lived there for 25 years, working as a fabric designer for high-end fashion labels and holding numerous solo and joint exhibitions. Now living in Bronte, Sydney, Vugich paints full time and finds inspiration in nature and the everyday items surrounding her.
