Auction for Oli

On 11 September 2020, Oli (aged 2) was diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma. This is a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. In Australia they pick up an average of 30-40 cases per year. It is a cancer typically found in children. 

Oli has been through numerous procedures so far, three rounds of chemotherapy, has been in a hip brace and plaster cast for 11 weeks, had burns and pressure sores on his back and legs from the cast, had numerous biopsies, and been under general anaesthetic 10+ times. Moving forward, he is anticipated to have surgery to remove a tumour, a stem cell transplant, radiation and immunotherapy. The pain and suffering he has been through already is unimaginable. His treatment is expected to take at least 12-18 months. 

Oli's mother Leni and dad Joel also have a gorgeous older daughter Alesia who is 5 years old and starting Prep next year. They also welcomed a beautiful baby girl Thalia 4 weeks ago and Oli is absolutely besotted by her (Leni was 37 weeks pregnant when Oli was diagnosed). 

Oli’s diagnosis has come as a huge shock to the family, particularly as he was just 2 weeks old when his grandfather, Manny, passed away from cancer. Oli was their lifeline during this difficult time, and it is absolutely heartbreaking that they have to deal with this cruel disease again. Oli is the most amazing little boy, and he has so much love to give. Their life has been been turned upside down and we want to alleviate some of the financial stress by assisting with Oli’s medical costs and recovery.
