Jane Gang investigates the emotional interplay and dynamic between people through vibrant improvisational watercolor painting. Since 1996 she has been living on the Lower East Village, NYC, where she had actively participated in the local street culture through her painting and art object merchandise, branded as ‘Cash Only’. Her most renowned and critically acclaimed series of works were made in down at heel strip clubs in downtown NYC, where she recorded the movements and interactions of both the dancers and the customers, called 'punters'.
