Paula Maggs is an expressionist painter of over twenty years. Living in Melbourne, Maggs has exhibited in solo and group shows while raising her eight children. She has recently completed a Master of Fine Art from RMIT.
Maggs's intuitive work conveys intense emotional states through colour and gestural mark making. Subject matter includes symbolic landscapes and abstracted portraits. Maggs's main interest is utilizing the materiality of paint to express psychological states and explore the human condition from a personal perspective.
