The Story

“Impossible” is a word people like to toss around willy-nilly. Especially cynics and critics.

Beware the cynics, the critics, and the so-called “realists.” A majority of the things we label as “impossible” only seem that way because we’re still waiting for somebody creative and courageous enough to give it a try.

While there are certainly things that are, in fact, impossible, there aren’t nearly as many as we might think. Most of the time, something is only impossible because someone hasn’t figured out a way to do it yet.

Besides, who’s to say what’s realistic or not? After all, the first handheld pocket calculator would not be invented until five years after President John F. Kennedy declared that America would send a man to the Moon by the end of the decade.

If a dream is realistic, it’s not really a dream. It’s a to-do. A good dream has to be kind of crazy. And improbable.

The dreams we disregard and deem unrealistic today may turn out to be things our great-grandkids take for granted.
