About this item

WMI Feeders, based in Warrnambool Victoria, is a leading manufacturer of a range of quality, durable hay bale feeders which help to save time, effort and money for farmers across Australia and internationally.

WMI Feeders is proud to partner with the Let's Talk Foundation in its important mission to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness, encourage help-seeking behaviour, and strengthen our community's ability to support those experiencing mental health challenges.

Mental health affects individuals, families, workplaces, and communities across Australia. The statistics are confronting:

  • Australia loses a farmer to suicide approximately every ten days.
  • Around 75% of suicides in Australia are men.
  • Mental illnesses are diverse and can affect anyone, yet they are treatable.
  • Nearly 45% of Australians will experience a mental health condition during their lifetime.

To support the Let's Talk Foundation and its vital work within our community, WMI Feeders will auction its 1000th Elite Round Bale Feeder (valued at over $18,000), with 100% of proceeds donated directly to the Let's Talk Foundation.

The Elite Round Bale Feeder is a round bale feeder capable of carrying up to two bales at a time. It feeds out hay and silage. It has a strong, robust design, user-friendly maintenance, and a high ground clearance. It also has a versatile loading system with collapsible forks for safety, and rippers that travel over the top of the chassis to reduce component damage. The Elite feeder is 2.3 metres wide, 4.6 metres long, 1.2 metres high, and weighs 1.2 tonne.

As a tribute to this milestone and the cause it supports, the Special Edition 1000th Elite Bale Feeder has been custom painted in the signature blue and white colours of the Let's Talk Foundation. The machine is fitted with zinc chain and wide wheels.

Please note: Freight (ex Warrnambool VIC) to be arranged by successful bidder if required.
