This year feels huge for us; 2025 marks the devastating 10-year anniversary of losing our beautiful son Finlay to a Glioblastoma (GBM) brain tumour when he was just 11 years old. As we reflect on the past decade without him, we are filled with a mix of huge sorrow alongside cherished memories.

This year, Fin would have been turning 21 years old, a milestone that deepens our longing and love for him. In his memory and honour, we are hosting a special memorial "Wings of Hope" ball on 17th May 2025. This event is not only a tribute to Finlay's short yet impactful life but also a gathering to raise awareness and funds to support families and research dedicated to combatting GBM brain tumours and children facing difficult hospital treatment.

Your support and generosity in supporting our on-line auction, running alongside the Wings of Hope ball, means the world to us. Your generosity will help us keep Finlay's spirit alive and make a meaningful difference in the fight against this devastating disease plus help support other children who are being treated at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, and for remembering our beloved Finlay with us.

All proceeds will be split between the two charities Finlay was passionate about supporting:

Brain Tumour Research Registered charity number England and Wales 1153487, Scotland SC046840

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable.  Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity Registered charity number 1160875

At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.  Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
