About this item

Two long-aged wines from two of the classic cellars in the village of Porrera in DOQ Priorat, showcasing excellent excellent vintages.

The Vall Llach - Vall Llach 2001 is a wine based upon Carignan with a blend of other varieties from the village and was their flagship wine until 2010 when they transformed it into Mas de la Rosa.

The Sangenís i Vaqué - Clos Monlleó 2000 is a blend of Grenache and Carignan from a single vineyard of very old vines in the villages.

Both wines come directly from the archives of each winery and have been graciously donated.

Update at 8:48pm, 25 March 2022

Please note that the Sangenís i Vaqué Clos Monlleó is actually a Gran Reserva. They produced the wine with and without this classification this year and only did a Gran Reserva this one time. This is in fact one of only two Gran Reservas ever produced in Priorat.

The Vall Llach 2001 was originally scored at 96pts by Mr. Robert Parker himself back when it was released. In talking with winery director, Albert Costa, he said that they opened a bottle last week for some visiting sommeliers and it was tasting simply amazing.
