Fra Falcó 2001 - DO Priorat (2 bottles Lot#25)

About this item
This is a very rare wine from the Priorat region which was one of the first to incorporate the now-heralded Carignan variety as the principle part of the blend along with smaller proportions of Grenache and a very small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Only produced from 1995-2001, this is a remarkable piece of Priorat history as it's one one of the earliest wines to reimagine the approach to the wines and others would end up following in this style over a decade later.
The winemaker has been gracious enough to donate these two bottles from his own private collection.
