Pedigree

We love this easy going, moderately-framed young bull. He is correct, moves like a dream and exudes confidence. Smooth in both motion and type. Excellent feet, beautiful head and a good haircoat. He is respectful of both people and fences. Comes when called. Doesn't tend to fight with other bulls.

He is on the smaller side - albeit with some growing yet to do, being only three.

His calves (from a variety of cows) have been in the 65-70 lb birth weight range. They have been lively, smart things. Are hands down the friendliest in the group, with loads of breed character. If you are looking to add some vigour and temperament to your herd, he is the ticket.

His dam consistently brings in an excellent calf. She is efficient with a good udder and excellent feet. Lochdown inherited all of his sire's good nature. He is a dream to work with, but commands the respect of his cow herd.

In terms of his type, he very much reminds me of his maternal grandsire, Cadence-Of-My-Heart Heritage. Some of our very favourite females are out of Cadence daughters and Beauregard. Which is why we had retained Lochdown for ourselves. Unfortunately, we just don't have the space for him. He covered a large group of cows last summer, and we look forward to retaining his heifers.

Lochdown is up to date on his vaccinations. We will boost him with Vista Once SQ and Tasvax 8 shortly. Full health records will accompany his sale.
