(Giclée 2/3) "I did not feel the cold" - Wilford Woodruff's Baptism
by Sam Day

16" x 20"

Created for the Building Latter-Day Faith Conference, this 16" x 20" signed giclée of the painting is the first accurate artistic depiction of Wilford Woodruff’s baptism by Zerah Pulsipher in Grindstone Creek, Richland Township, New York. Others pictured in the scene are Wilford's brother Azmon, Azmon's wife Elizabeth, missionary Elijah Cheney, and the two young women who were also baptized on December 31, 1833, the same day as Wilford and Azmon. Of this experience he wrote, "The snow was 3 feet deep, the day was cold, and the water was mixed with ice and snow, yet I did not feel the cold." This painting is a dynamic depiction of the prophet’s powerful faith.
