About this item

This 3D printed guitar was made using binder jetting, with the new process by Forust (recently acquired by Desktop Metal), that prints using a combination of wood sawdust, and bioepoxy made from lignin (another waste product from the forestry industry).

So it, basically takes what would, otherwise, be waste streams that go to landfill or get incinerated (or, at best, get turned into MDF), and transforms them into high-value products. The diamond gyroid lattice structure inside the guitar was created using nTopology, and the rest of the design was done in Solidworks.

All the hardware is top-of-the-line with a custom neck made by Warmoth, Schaller hot-rodded humbucker pickups, Schaller bridge and 5-position megaswitch (for PRS-style like wiring), and Gotoh tuners.
