About this item

The imagination of the students shows in this Mosquito sculpture. The legs repurposed exhaust pipes from a vintage C45 aircraft, along with other parts. This mosquito would be at home in any garden.

I really enjoyed working on this sculpture project. I learned many different skills in the process. I hope that this sculpture brings in a lot of money for the War Plane Museum. All in all, I would definitely do this again.

I really enjoyed putting my time, skills and effort into these projects. It is very exciting to see my work in an auction where the profits from my effort go toward a great organization. I worked on a table and on a mosquito sculpture. They were really fun to design and create. I would totally do this again!

Being a part of the sculpture project was fun. It was a great learning experience and it was enjoyable to work with my classmates to come up with ideas for building these works of art. It was nice to be able to give back to the community and to be a part of it all. I never thought I could learn so much by creating art.
