This replica C-130 can be removed from its stand to show off all angles. The students used gears from aircraft engines along with chain link for the cradle.

When my class went to the plane museum in Geneseo, it was cool to see and I was interested in the project my teacher said we were going to work on.  The reason I picked the plane that I did is because it is the plane my grandfather jumped out of in Vietnam.  When I started, my teacher had his doubts, but I kept working on it and my teacher started to like what I did with it.

I worked with a friend to create a plane out of a pipe.  As our idea came together, Mr. Olson was surprised at how we were able to create a plane out of an old pipe.  We added a stand so that it could spin which made it cooler.  In welding, we do a lot.  This project has shown my skills and how far I have come.  We made a sculpture that the community can see and it will raise money for a good cause.
