About this item

Footprint taken while a two-year-old female African wild dog in the TOOG pack was immobilized to fit a new tracking collar in July 2023. "Little "G was nicknamed due to a unique marking on her thigh. She was born in the pack during their 2021 denning season. She dispersed with two sisters in February 2023, but rejoined the pack in May after one of her sisters was fatally injured while trying to cross an electric fence line. Proceeds from the sale help cover the costs required to maintain reliable tracking on the Waterberg Wild Dog population.

  • Size: 24cm wide x 29cm tall
  • Frame: Wood

No dogs were immobilized for the purpose of getting this print. Animal-safe, non-toxic, water-based paint was used under the advisement of qualified wildlife veterinarians and immediately cleaned off of the dog's pad afterward.
