(Level 1) PADI Beginner Freediver Course.

If you think freediving is just like snorkeling - think again. Freediving is an entirely different way to experience the underwater world. You’ll dive deeper, stay down longer, and feel part of the ocean itself. 
This course focuses on giving participants the theoretical understanding and practical skills that are required to develop their breath hold capacity, in addition to general freediving skills.

At the end of the Beginner Freediving course, participants will be able to understand and discuss the importance of freediving specific equipment, key safety concepts and freediving anatomy and physiology. Additionally, participants will be able to demonstrate basic freediver skills, such as breath holding, static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion and rescue skills, amongst others.

- Discuss the core disciplines of freediving
- Understand Freediving equipment, how to equip and utilise safely.
- Gain a basic understand of freediving physiology & anatomy.
- Understand and demonstrate the role of the 'buddy' diver.
- Understand and demonstrate static apnoea, dynamic apnea and free immersion.
- Recognise and recover a freediver in distress, including shallow water blackout.
- Demonstrate freediver rescue techniques
