About the Artist

An Australian artist with a passion for birds, Kristy-Ann aims to do more than just capture a likeness of birds. Her art is about storytelling. It is her way of sharing special moments she has spent watching birds. Like a family of frogmouths materializing from what looked like dead branches and leaves, a treescape reflected in a boobook’s eye, or honeyeaters joyfully feasting on banksia nectar in the rain. Kristy-Ann creates art that is both true to the subject and her own interpretation of the moment to produce unique and vibrant works.
