K/1EM have been studying animals as we prepare to go to the Canberra Zoo and 2D shapes in Maths. We were inspired by the art of Pete Cromer to create a wombat that had lots of natural colours and geometric shapes. The students painted the gold background and then decorated the cardboard elements before we put the artwork together as a class.
