Gwyn Perkins is a Pittwater local whose illustrations draw on everyday life around the harbour. Living on Scotland Island, he takes his cues from what’s close at hand — boats at the jetty, sheds, wildlife, neighbours, and the small scenes that make up island life.
His work often leans toward story rather than record, shaping familiar moments with warmth and a touch of humour. The places are recognisable, but they’re also lightly re-imagined, reflecting how Pittwater feels as much as how it looks.
