About the artist:

Madeleine Sherburn is an arts worker, artist, curator, and writer based in Naarm (Melbourne). Their practice explores how queerness can mould the slippages between site and spectator through an expanded photographic approach. 

Madeleine has extensive experience across the arts and cultural sector. They are currently interested in how small arts organisations, such as ARIs, can develop more sustainable operational models, and in how placemaking can foster deeper community connection and engagement within art and public space.
