"The Happy Summer is ironically a piece I created during the cold winter of 2024. In this piece I explore the relationship specific colours have to me and my memories, in this case the colours of summer. My intention was to evoke feelings of warmth and happiness in the viewer. Using a bright yet subdued colour palette combined with extensive mark-making and palette knife techniques to create a heavily textured image that transports you to a warmer place."
