The Smurfs are a Belgian invention offcourse, made up by Peyo. In Holland there was Pierre Kartner who performed as Father Abraham. He made a lot of music about, with and without the Smurfs. With great (Dutch) lyrics like 'Smurf-beer, you dont get drunk but have lots of fun', 'Cough, cough, it's choking with mosquitoes' and 'Hello mister owl, your underpants are dirty'. He also had serious songs and lyrics and had huge worldwide succes with 'The little cafe by the harbour', wich was performed in many languages by many wellknown artists. 

This Dutch Smurfs set is hard to find.
