On Saturday 18th from 12-3pm we would love you to join us for a special celebration event, culminating in the close of bidding at 3pm. There will be $500 worth of door prizes from Patagonia, plus music, speakers, nibbles from Food Not Bombs, and bubbly!
The Victorian Forest Alliance (VFA) was established in November 2021. The alliance brings together more than 38 grassroots forest groups actively protecting native forests across Victoria. Collectively, we have decades of experience working with our local communities.
Due to the relentless efforts of community groups and individuals, native forest logging across much of the state is due to end next year! However, many threats to our forests remain, including logging by other names and industrial burning of forests. Forests across the state also need champions for the huge task of restoration after decades of destruction wrought by logging and industrial burning. Funds raised will support community efforts to protect native forests in this next stage of the campaign.
*Please note the final bid on the auction piece is for the artwork only. If you can't collect your winning artwork on Saturday 18 Nov (preferable), there will be an option to collect it from Clifton Hill in the following weeks. If collection is not possible, an additional fee will be incurred by the buyer to get it safely to you. Thank you for your understanding and support.
The forests we defend and restore are unceded lands. We recognise and respect that the forests which we work to protect exist on a number of different Sovereign Aboriginal Nations and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
