While a visiting artist at UTA, Aaron tate demosntrated his mastery of sculpting glass to our students. This peice was a demonstration, showing how to make complex vessels, hollow sculpting, and constructing piefces so precisely that they fit together. Blown out of crystal clear glass, and free-hand manipulated, this winged amphora with a bird's head and worm as the lid is truly a unique and one-of-a-kind artwork.
