This laerge platter is created by careful selection of colored sheet glass, cutting them to specifc shapes, and layering. Once all of the components have been hand shaped, they are stacked and placed in an oven to allow them to completely melt together in a full fuse. Once the pieces have joined to become a large form, the piece is placed back in the oven in order to slump into the slight curvature - making it more sculptural and functional.
