Vajira Gunawardena (b. 1971) is a Sri Lankan artist known for his dynamic, large-format figurative semi-abstract works. Gunawardena’s art blends sensuous human emotions with sociological and autobiographical themes. His diverse style, often associated with outsider art or neo-expressionism, explores human imperfections and cultural identity through vibrant colours and rhythmic patterns.
