Artist Bio
Jagath Ravindra is a leading abstract contemporary painter whose signature large scale canvas works confront the themes of identity, society, culture and memory. Jagath Ravindra is currently Dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts for the University of the Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo. His work has been exhibited internationally in Bangladesh, Dubai, Nepal, the UK, Pakistan, Korea and Maldives, and his work is housed in the permanent collections of the Xi’an Art Museum and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
