Commentary: Life isn’t simple. It can be complex and sometimes overwhelming. But if you look closely, there is joy to be found in the seemingly small, quiet moments that we often take for granted. I hope that people who see this drawing will observe complexity, but look more closely, and find even just one small reason to fall in love with life again; connecting to nature, the loving nuzzle of a pet, the invigorating achievement of an open-water swim, waking up in a tent with your best friends beside you, resting in the shade of an old tree on a hot day, the collective joy felt at a festival. Or simply having a cup of tea out the back of a camper van.
