About this item
Kindly donated by Kenny MacKay and Drew McKenzie Smith
A private tour of Lindores Abbey Distillery and specially “extended” tasting for 4 people . The visit will also include a tour of the historic Abbey ruins, the spiritual birthplace of Scotch Whisky.
Set in a stunning location on the outskirts of Newburgh in Fife, Lindores was a Tironensian abbey founded in 1191. Now a reduced ruin, it lies on the southern banks of the River Tay, about 1-mile (1.6 km) north of the village of Lindores and is a scheduled ancient monument.
The Lindores Abbey distillery re-opened in 2017 and began distilling scotch whisky by December of that year. You will experience the full guided Abbey Tour, hear the history of this fabulous monument, followed by a tasting and light lunch - highly recommended!
