Gwenda Nungarayi Namatjira, born in 1954 was a Western Arrarnta artist and grand daughter of the renowned Albert Namatjira. She is known for her paintings of her home country, Areyonga near Hermannsburg NT and surrounding areas often rendered in a naive style with delicate, soft colours, according to IDAIA. She was part of the Iltja Ntjarra Namatjira School of Art in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia.
Gwenda passed away in June 2017.
