"I created them both during Covid, a time which magnified and affirmed to me, and perhaps many of us the need to embrace uncertainty.

"Yet at the same time the light of the Sun and Moon continued to sustain us all on many levels: sun rising, sun setting, moon rising and moon setting in the cycles of each day a natural rhythm that continues to offer a constancy within changing times.

"I’m thrilled to be able to donate these works for the auction at Space2b - a project where I have volunteered and that is close to my heart. I hope these works will offer hope and connection for the regeneration for all life on the earth during these transformational times." - Karen Hopkins 

About the artist

Born in England, Karen is now a Melbourne artist painting principally acrylic and mixed media on canvas. She has been exhibiting as a professional artist since 1991 and has works in numerous corporate and private collections both nationally and internationally. Since living in Australia Karen has been inspired by beauty of  the landscape; from the energy, colour, vastness and sense of space in the Australia.
