48. Colourful Cowhide & Leather Foot Stool by Flock Upholstery

Colourful handmade foot stool made by local designer and upholster Lauren Hughes from Flock Upholstery. Made in Melbourne.

Using offcuts from other projects, Lauren has created this unique 'one-off' footstool especially for Space2b. 

Materials: Cowhide patches and leather off-cuts.

About the designer

"My mother taught me to sew at a young age and always encouraged, supported and helped me with my creative endeavours throughout the years.

"I have always enjoyed making things and using up leftover materials. I love using bright colours with neutral tones and mixing textures.

"I literally use up all my scraps. Scrap vinyls, leather and fabrics are used in my patchwork. My partner brings home offcuts of wood and yellow tongue flooring from work which I use to make the frames for the footstools.

"I also love to rescue preloved pieces of furniture and bring them back to life."
